Forest Avenue Should Be Forrest Avenue - And Response

I just read the Tennessee bill Roy Exum quoted, the “Nathan Bedfore Forrest Bill,” that ensures no historical statue or sign or marker be taken down.

So can we change that street across from the Walnut Street Bridge back to “Forrest Avenue.”?

Someone serepticiously changed it to “Forest” a few years ago, and probably without permission.

As a resident of Forest Avenue I am thankful for the street's current name.

What I've learned from our neighbors is that the change in name was made in the name of racial reconciliation - something it seems we need a lot more of, not less.
