Construction Road Closings Announced

Here are upcoming road closings:
 
W. 7th Street: The 100 block of E 7th Street will be closed Tuesday, between Walnut Street and Cherry Street  from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. for utility work. This night work will repeat as weather allows for one week.  A detour will be posted.

Mountain Creek Road: The 5400 block of Mountain Creek Road will be closed between US 27 and Browntown Road on Wednesday, for utility work. A detour will be posted. 

Passenger Street: The 1400 block of Passenger Street will be closed to southbound traffic and parking between Main Street and Johnson Street from April 30 until May 4 for utility work. The street will be open to northbound, one way traffic to access businesses and Johnson Street.

Dallas Bay Baptist Church School Evacuated By Bomb Threat Tuesday Afternoon

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office personnel are currently responding to a bomb threat at Dallas Bay Baptist Church School.  As a precaution, all staff and children have been evacuated from the building and are safe. Federal Appeals Court Rules In Favor Of Family With Down Syndrome Child Who Sued County Schools

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of a couple with a Down syndrome child who sued the county schools. The parents of Luka Hyde objected when the county schools tried to move him from his zoned school to a segregated school.
