Chattanooga Whiskey Introduces Experimental Series Batches 007 And 008

Thursday, May 24, 2018

Chattanooga Whiskey's last experimental release celebrated three new unique expressions of its Tennessee High Malt: Batch 004 - Scottish Style High Malt, Batch 005 - Wheated High Malt, and Batch 006 - a Beer Barrel Finished Wheated High Malt.

Its fourth experimental release moves into the wide world of malt whiskey - Batch 007 is the Tennessee Rye Malt and Batch 008 is the Tennessee Single Malt. Made in their signature malt forward style, these are the most limited releases to date, at just around 60 cases each.

Officials said, "In addition to these new limited whiskies, we’re also very proud to announce that our Experimental Series is now our “Award Winning Experimental Series”. The results from the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition are in, and Chattanooga Whiskey has brought home seven medals: five for our whiskey and two for our world-class packaging. Recognized as one of the premier spirits competitions in the world by both industry experts and consumers, we are humbled to be in a list with such great company.

"Our Experimental Series is a limited collection of single batch whiskies born from our Experimental Distillery in downtown Chattanooga. The first aged whiskey in our hometown in over 100 years, this series seeks to express uncompromised creativity and innovation within our craft. Each batch utilizes a multitude of malts, barrels, techniques and specialty ingredients to create whiskies that are truly one-of-a-kind.

"We’re celebrating this release with a sold out party on Wednesday, May 30 at 7 p.m., and Batches 007 and 008 are available to the public for purchase at the Experimental Distillery beginning at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 31st."
